HELICOPTER REPAIR COMPANY MOVES HQ FROM CALIFORNIA TO CHANDLER

A helicopter engine repair company is moving its headquarters from Santa Clarita, California, to Chandler and plans to create 25 new jobs in the East Valley.

Helicopter Engine Repair and Overhaul Services (HEROS) Inc. specializes in repair, service and testing of helicopter engines, specifically the Rolls Royce Model2so.

“Over the past year, we’ve explored several buildings and opportunities. In the end, we found our home in Chandler,” Raffi Kajberouni, vice president at HEROS Inc., said lo a statement.  “The city of Chandler provides excellent business opportunities and has a deep footprint of aviation industries. We’re excited to be part of that elite group of businesses that are succeeding in Chandler.”

The company will take 19,000 square feet at 10 Chandler, an industrial complex owned by ViaWest Group located at 560 N. 54th St.

“The aerospace industry has been a cornerstone of the greater Phoenix economy for decades,” Chris Camacho, president and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, said in a statement. “While HEROS Inc. started in California in 1988, the rest of their success story will be told in greater Phoenix, and we’re excited to support their continued growth.”

Chad Neppl of Cresa represented HEROS Inc. in the lease term negotiations with the 10 Chandler team, represented by Jackie Orcutt and Evan Koplan with CBRE.

The company plans to be operational in Chandler by the end of the year, and will be hiring for aircraft maintenance technicians, engineering and management positions.
